The history of the Joe Snyder underwear brand goes back to 1958 when Jesús Vargas Abín established in Mexico the "De Vargas" store which sold shirts, trousers, suits, ties, underwear and accessories. In 1977 his son, José Vargas Snyder started working with him at the store. Jose started manufacturing a range of underwear made from a polyamide and elastane blend that fitted the male anatomy perfectly. He sold his underwear in his own store but in other stores as well. After many ups and downs his company went nearly bust but in March 1991, Joe Snyder relaunches and emerges stronger than ever. Joe Snyder® is now sold in some of biggest retailers in Mexico such as Palacio de Hierro, Gigante, Comercial Mexicana, Woolworth, El Nuevo Mundo among others, and its been distributed in 150 boutiques all around the country.
